Our International Section and IB Journey

Located in the vibrant and multicultural city of Dubai, our school has continually evolved to reflect the city’s dynamic and globally connected environment. Originally established in September 1957 as a National Section offering the Iranian curriculum and accredited by KHDA, our school expanded in September 2003 to include an International Section with English as the medium of instruction.

As part of this expansion, we pursued internationally recognized education frameworks. In February 2015, we proudly became an IB World School authorized to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP). The programme officially launched in the 2015–2016 academic year, with our first IB DP graduates in May 2017. The IB DP is now a central pillar of our academic offerings, helping students gain access to top universities and preparing them for success in a globalized world.

Looking ahead, we are also a candidate school for the IB Career-related Programme (IB CP), with a planned specialization in Business education. This future offering will provide flexible, career-focused pathways for students who are better suited to practical learning environments, aligning perfectly with Dubai’s role as a global business hub.

Our International Section encourages students to engage with peers from diverse cultures through competitions, events, and cross-cultural collaboration. This exposure enhances students’ learning and supports the IB mission of creating a better, more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
